Stanford University Bass Biology Building

Elevation studies of sight lines from pedestrian level to top of mechanical equipment. A simple 2D section cut can illustrate the problem, but the solution needs to be studied and conceived in 3D to work appropriately.
Computational design used to calculate the maximum sight line distances for roof top mechanical equipment and provide optimal obstruction using minimal parapet heights. Allows for entire 3D display of sight line impacts vs isolated 2D locations.
Resulting 3D studies compiled into a 2D sight plan for presentation and to inform design direction.
